Saint-Malo, "corsaire" city

To discover Saint-Malo is to go through a history book with its Great Men. Founded in the 6th century by the welsh monk Mac Low, Saint-Malo was first established on the Alet peninsulo. In the the 12th century , Bishop Jean de Chatillon transferred his Bishopric onto the rock which now supports the foundations of the old city. Since the 16th century Jacques Cartier discovered canadda and privateers Surcouf and Duguay Trouin excelled overseas.
